Our Treatments

  • Targeted Ayurvedic therapies designed to support lower and upper back pain, stiffness, and spinal discomfort, using traditional external treatments and personalised care plans.

  • Care for shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, neck stiffness, and posture-related discomfort, focusing on restoring movement and reducing tension.

  • Ayurvedic care for knee joint pain, osteoarthritis-related discomfort, ligament strain, and mobility issues, supporting strength, flexibility, and joint stability.

  • Complementary Ayurvedic treatment for sports-related injuries, including muscle strains, joint stress, and overuse injuries, supporting recovery and safe return to activity.

  • Tennis elbow is a common condition caused by overuse of the forearm muscles, leading to pain and tenderness on the outside of the elbow. It often develops from repetitive gripping or wrist movements and can make everyday activities like lifting, typing, or shaking hands uncomfortable.

  • Ankle joint pain is discomfort or stiffness in the ankle that can affect walking, standing, or movement. It may be caused by injury, overuse, poor alignment, or underlying joint issues, and can range from mild soreness to ongoing pain that interferes with daily activities.

  • Wrist joint pain is discomfort, stiffness, or aching in the wrist that can make gripping, lifting, or repetitive hand movements difficult. It may result from overuse, strain, injury, or joint inflammation, and can affect everyday tasks such as typing, writing, or carrying objects.

  • Consultations to assess health concerns, lifestyle factors, and physical condition, allowing tailored treatment plans aligned with individual goals.

Ayurvedic Practitioner

Dr. Mahesh Jayathilaka-Ayurvedic Practitioner

Dr. Mahesh Jayathilaka is a qualified and experienced Ayurvedic medical practitioner with a strong foundation in traditional Ayurvedic medicine and extensive clinical experience.

He completed his Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, following five years of comprehensive academic training in Ayurvedic principles, diagnostics, pharmacology, and clinical medicine. After graduation, Dr. Mahesh successfully completed a one-year compulsory internship at government Ayurvedic hospitals in Sri Lanka, where he gained hands-on experience in treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions under senior consultants.

Following his training, Dr. Mahesh worked as an Ayurvedic doctor in Sri Lanka for nearly four years, during this time he established his own medical centre, MAHESHAYURVEDA. Through his dedicated practice, he treated thousands of patients and managed a broad spectrum of health conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, chronic disorders, lifestyle-related diseases, and general wellness concerns. His approach is rooted in personalised care, focusing on each patient’s prakruti (constitution), dosha balance, agni, and overall health status, rather than using one-size-fits-all treatment plans.

After migrating to Australia, Dr. Mahesh continued his professional journey and obtained registration with the Australasian Association Of Ayurveda (AAA), making him a registered Ayurvedic practitioner within the Australian Ayurvedic system. He now brings his years of international clinical experience to Australia, combining authentic Ayurvedic knowledge with an understanding of local health needs.

Today, Maheshayurveda has evolved into MAYU, continuing the same values of trust, quality, and genuine healing. Through MAYU, patients can access safe, personalised, and effective Ayurvedic treatments, guided by traditional wisdom and delivered with care, integrity, and professionalism.
